Nick Cannon Promotes “Stop Hating” Campaign at the Hip-Hop Leaders Conference

Nick Cannon has joined forces with a non-profit organization, 1600 Avenue, to promote his new “Stop Hating” campaign at this year’s Hip-Hop Leaders Conference. Cannon’s “Stop Hating” is a new program aimed at helping at-risk youth. “There are a lot of synergies between Stop Hating and Hip-Hop Leaders,” says Cannon. “We are working together because both organizations are committed to uplifting youth, and bringing the global hip-hop community together. We must put an end to hate.” This year’s Hip-Hop Leaders Conference is currently taking place on the UCLA campus from August 8 to 12. During the event over 100 at-risk youth will be able to interact with various hip-hop artist, producers, DJs, business managers and A&R reps. The main goal of the conference is to motivate children to stay in school and become involved in technology. “Minorities are significantly underrepresented in the U.S. Technology Industry,” says Frank Satterwhite, 1600 Avenue founder. “Technology provides the greatest opportunities for at-risk youth to have the quality of life everyone deserves, and incorporating hip-hop has proven to be positive motivator for getting these kids interested and involved.”
